Bunny Guinness buys a Keder Greenhouse

Award winning Chartered Landscape Architect Bunny Guinness has for many years worked towards becoming increasingly self-sufficient. Vegetables have always been part of the plan, along with the cows, sheep, pigs, guinea fowl and chickens but it has been outdoors based, and subject to weather and the elements.

Bunny recently took the decision to get a greenhouse so that vegetables can be harvested all year round. It was clear to Bunny that there was only one type of greenhouse worth getting, a Keder Greenhouse. Not only are they very strong and highly durable, but their insulation and light transmission values are significantly better than other greenhouses or polytunnels.

Bunny choose a 4m wide x 6m long Keder Greenhouse from the Grower Range. Optional extras included; an outrigger (2m wide x 6m long) on one side with doors at either end, side and upper staging in one segment, side ventilation and doors at both ends off the greenhouse. These options provide Bunny with the flexibility to grow an extensive range of crops and vegetables that can harvested all year round. Once things are established Bunny is hoping to provide weekly vegetable boxes for family members as well as for herself.

“The plan is to have raised beds throughout the Keder Greenhouse, I want to maximise my growing space and get as much as growing space as possible, putting my Keder Greenhouse to maximum effect” commented Bunny, “It has taking me a few years to make the decision to get a polytunnel and now I have a Keder Greenhouse, I am really pleased with it and want to get the most out of it” she continued.

“I am really enjoying it, it’s going to be exciting.” Bunny concluded.
